University Advancement's USC Alumni Association is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and enterprising professional for the position of Manager of Regional and EngagementÂ Programs.
The Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of assigned Regional Program organizations and events and works closely with a variety of volunteer committees and leaders to produce successful alumni engagement programs; programs and events which fulfill the goals an assigned portfolio of domestic regional clubs and chapters.
The position reports to the Director of Regional and Engagement Programs and works closely withÂ theÂ associate directors, and other professional staff members.
The Manager of Regional Programs must be independently creative, able to produce, manage, and support USC Alumni events and volunteer programs, and flawlessly execute them. Related skills include: budgeting, marketing, event planning and fundraising.
The Manager works closely with members of the Alumni Association team to coordinate logistical, financial, communications and marketing aspects of regional programs and events. This includes providing guidance, and supervision to student workers and alumni volunteers. The job requires regular evening and weekend work and domestic travel.
Plans, implements and manages specific public relations events, activities, projects and/or programs to enhance the public's awareness of the university, or students, faculty, staff and/or alumni of the university. Participates in development of public relations goals, plans and strategies.
Identifies opportunities to publicize the university and develops programs or activities to use their opportunities to best advantage.
Contributes to development of department's operating budget(s). Manages program, project and/or event budget(s).
Represents University or department at professional meetings, conferences, seminars and other events. Develops and maintains contacts with University officials, media representatives, community leaders and professional colleagues. Maintains currency with professional organizations and publications.
Negotiates licenses and/or vendor contracts, as assigned.
Coordinates appropriate use of University and/or department logos, emblems and indicia.
Responsible for working and managing volunteers on aÂ day to day basis
Provides administrative support for the Engagement Team
