About Sciolino Artist Management
Sciolino Artist Management (SAM) is a New York-based artist management firm, founded in 2006 and dedicated to finding creative programming solutions for orchestras, presenters, and festivals. SAM artists perform at the highest artistic level while advancing the educational and audience engagement goals of presenting organizations. SAM’s roster of award-winning musicians includes four Avery Fisher Career Grant recipients, and winners of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust fellowship and Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award. Among its first clients was Harlem Quartet, founded by Sphinx, the organization dedicated to advancing the careers of Black and Latinx string players. SAM strives for diversity of ethnicity, race, gender, and repertoire. Aside from musicians born in the United States, the SAM roster currently comprises artists from Japan, Korea, China, Spain, Cuba, Canada, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Brazil. Repertoire spans four centuries and includes several world premieres of commissioned works. Soloists on the SAM roster include Michael Brown, Aldo López-Gavilán, and Gabriela Martinez, piano; Amy Porter, flute; Francisco Fullana and Melissa White, violin; Juan-Miguel Herna...ndez, viola; Carter Brey and Nicholas Canellakis, cello. Ensembles include the Canellakis-Brown Duo (cello & piano); Trio Virado (flute, viola, guitar); Harlem Quartet (string quartet); Harlem Quartet with Aldo López-Gavilán (piano/string quintet), and Rolston String Quartet. Also on the SAM roster is Piotr Gajewski, Music Director & Conductor of the National Philharmonic.
