Summary of Duties:
The Development Coordinator will assist the Senior Director of Development coordinating the development and implementation of stewardship, donor relations, strategic engagement activities to meet the goals of the Alumni and Development Office within the Carson College of Business. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: soliciting gifts and sponsorship from individuals and/or corporations; administering alumni relation programs; fostering alumni and friends relationships; organizing, implementing, and evaluating special events; stewardship of gifts including acknowledgment letters, specialized endowment and campaign reports; performing public relation responsibilities; representing WSU to internal and external constituents; and performing other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
Experience in higher education fundraising.
Experience working in advancement in higher education.
A valid driver's license.
Monthly Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience. FTE: 100% Permanent/Temporary: Permanent
