UCSF is looking for a tech-savvy Digital Resource Specialist to provide editorial and communications support for the Office of Communications and Office of Community & Government Relations.
This position is responsible for helping the department leverage digital technology to work more efficiently, to better measure their work, and to produce collateral that's consistent and on-brand. They centrally manage the digital tools, websites, and analytics program that support the various functions, including brand marketing, media relations, digital communications, internal communications, community relations, and government relations.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: * Administer the departmental intranet website and productivity tools, in collaboration with the Operations Manager * Assist with daily management of the main UCSF.edu website and brand portal, including webpage creation and content updates * Produce well-designed and consistent presentations, reports and flyers using PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Creative Suite * Assist with collection of media analytics through Cision, and provide data analysis and recommendations for improvement * Assist the Public Affairs team with answering media calls and responding to media requests * Produce communications campaign reports, a monthly analytics dashboard in Google Data Studio, and annual reports * Provide backup support for press release distribution via Cision * Provide brand and strategic planning support for the Community & Government Relations e-newsletter program, as well as the UCSF Advocates program, which includes graphic design, webpage design, development of promotional material, collateral, and purchasing with vendors * Manage and maintain the UCSF Brand Photography Library, working with the Photography Manager to make it a usable and accessible resource for the internal community and media * Coordinate and maintain scheduling for UCSF's shuttle poster program and brand pull-up banner distribution * Manage and maintain photography/media consents as UCSF transitions to a digital consents database * Oversee and train department staff on digital accessibility and SEO best practices.
The successful candidate is extremely comfortable with digital applications and can easily adapt to changing technologies and best practices. S/he understands the media landscape and can balance the need for good content as well as good user experience. This person also is an experienced problem-solver who can research and recommend strong digital solutions to help our teams work more efficiently and better serve the UCSF community.
Reporting to the Director of Office Operations, the position also provides general administrative support for the Office of Communications and Office of Community & Government Relations as a member of the shared services administrative team, and will be cross trained to perform multiple responsibilities that enable the mission of both offices to be carried out in a professional and timely manner. In addition, the individual handles special projects and provides executive assistance for the Executive Director of Digital Communications.
