The Content Manager (CNTM) is responsible for consistently enhancing JAMS online presence and creating awareness of the JAMS brand by writing, producing, and generating compelling marketing and business development driven content (multi-media including written, video, and audio) for our Company website and various marketing and public relations platforms, including social media channels. In addition, in partnership with the Senior PR & Content Manager (SPRCM), the CNTM promotes JAMS products or services to engage customers and ensure that they have a positive view of the company through the strategic production of podcasts and videos, and partners with the Marketing, Practice Development and Business Development teams on a variety of functions.
Writing/Editing/Proofreading Writes original content for the JAMS website, marketing collateral, social media platforms, blog, national eCampaigns, and other marketing channels; edits and proofreads the work of other marketing associates, as needed; ensures written and other produced content follows JAMS writing and style guidelines
Podcast and Video Creation Assists the SPRCM with the production of podcast and videos from beginning to the end of the project; develops topics and collaborates with Marketing, Practice Development Team or other constituents to fully understand product and communication needs, and identifies appropriate participants (e.g., associates, clients, neutrals, etc.); writes scripts based on assessment, drafts and proposes campaigns
Project Management Manages projects from beginning to end utilizing a strong organization, thorough follow-up and timely execution on time and budget; hires and oversees vendors, and provides guidance to the editor; evaluates the success of campaigns when completed; manages projects involving functions within Marketing (also including PD and BD) and across the organization, and brings multiple parties, including neutrals, together to complete a project
Editorial Calendar Compliance & Alignment Ensures timely and relevant content is placed on the Company website, blog, on social media and in other marketing platforms, as needed; coordinates with Senior Marketing Communications Manager and other Marketing colleagues to produce content aligned with JAMS Marketing Calendars including diversity events and other key highlights throughout the year
Research Researches ADR services and the legal industry; gather materials to understand projects and competition in the market; analyzes materials to determine the most effective communication techniques; fact-checks and analyzes resources to ensure timely and compelling subject matter is published on the Company website and platforms that host JAMS content
Budgeting Assists with managing budgets as it relates to content creation; identifies costs and savings opportunities.

Web/Social Media Has current knowledge as it relates to web marketing and social media trends and tools; has the ability to actively monitor the legal landscape for online content opportunities (web sites, blogs, discussion forums, etc.)
Creativity Ability to undertake concepts and translate them into campaigns that drive client engagement and conversion
Legal Has a good understanding of the legal industry, and is motivated to increase that understanding over time through reading, as well as consultation with staff and neutrals
Client Service Ability to remain focused on meeting or exceeding expectations of internal (neutrals, regional staff, SMT) and external clients
Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to review and proofread materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and brand voice
Media Relations Ability to write press releases, field media inquiries, create media coverage reports, and identify news trends
Organization Has strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a quick-paced environment
Education/Experience - A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, English,etc.), is preferred - At least 4-5 years of content creation, writing or communications experience, is required - Proven record of creating effective content for specific audiences and meeting deadlines - Experience within the legal or other professional services industry, a plus
Essential Job Requirements - Talking with panelists, and staff over the phone for extended periods of time - Effectively and articulately communicate company messaging via multiple content platforms - May occasionally represent JAMS at events or meetings - Lift moderately heavy objects such as boxes of marketing materials or promotional items - Local and occasional national travel
Telecommuting is allowed.
