Job Summary: The College Relations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting the mission of the college by actively building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the college's various constituents.
Additional Department Summary: This position reports directly to the Director of College Relations and Business Development. The position assists the Director in the planning, organizing, and promoting public relations events/ functions of the college. The position attends conferences and events to promote CCS and university programs, recruit students to UACCS programs, and support programs for the betterment of the communities in the university footprint. The position works with the Dean's Office, and all divisions of the college in the planning, organizing, and implementation of strategic initiatives targeted to build relationships and generate goodwill for all college programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; OR Master's degree.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: This position requires an ability to communicate effectively with the various constituencies of the College to help attract support for the College of Continuing Studies programs. Must constantly interact with constituents of the College and the general public. Excellent public speaking, media relations, communications, and relationship-building skills. Must have verbal presentation and writing skills necessary for promoting strategic priorities of the Dean, as well as for utilizing social media to promote the college's programs. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other standard software packages. Involves analytical thinking, creativity, creative writing, and strategic planning. Proficiency in time management, project management, ability to stay organized, and pay close attention to details are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Five to seven years experience in fields requiring strategic partnership development, relationship building, written and verbal communication, media relations, and public speaking. Demonstrated client relations skills and writing skills, as well as the ability to influence, organize and lead. Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate intellectual rigor. Understand how to set KPIs based on market analysis and provide ROI reports. Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM program.
