The Industry Partnerships Manager is a part of the team responsible for managing academic operations of the M.S. Management of Technology (MOT) and M.S. Industrial Engineering (IE) programs in the Department of Technology Management and Innovation (TMI). This position will actively engage relevant companies to grow the departments visibility across industries. Through the outreach to other organizations, incubators, companies, and Alumni the Manager will cultivate new corporate leads and partnerships to promote and support the departments academic initiatives. The Manager will also oversee all non-academic aspects of capstone facilitation, coordination, and administration. This includes, (but is not limited to): Student project placements, project lifecycle tracking, workflow management, database creation/management, logistics, communications, donation facilitation, data maintenance, the vetting and approval of non-disclosure agreements (NDA), and report generation. The Manager will also have an additional function, which will be to work closely with Department Academic and Career Advisor to help identify and funnel potential internship and post-graduation career opportunities to TMI students.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years Industry Relations/Corporate Partnerships with Institutions or Higher Education
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team member; to think creatively; and to evaluate and improve existing process and procedures. Must have strong and polished interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Creative, strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and knowledge of other PC programs. Must be able to comprehend and follow a diverse set of verbally communicated operational procedures with little guidance or training, self-manageable. Must be comfortable and professional in conducting business by telephone, virtually, and in person. Demonstrated success in effective multitasking, trouble shooting, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines. Position demands significant attention to detail, effective communications, team collaboration. Ability to travel between campuses and partner sites if needed and must be willing to work weekends and evening.
