As Manager, Communications serving Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS), you will be responsible for executing internal communications for the business for McKesson's largest business unit. You seamlessly incorporate segment business priorities into the overarching corporate narrative. You manage the tone, positioning and overall storytelling responsibility for the business while working within the broader corporate vision.
This role is responsible for developing engaging executive and internal communications, which will position PSaS subject matter experts as thought leaders. You will partner with key stakeholders and leaders across the business and enterprise in the creation of the internal strategy for PSaS. The role will mainly manage internal communications projects and will leverage content for external purposes strategically.
Expertise should include: - Thought leadership articles, blog posts, event support and speech writing. - Organizational transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and employee engagement. - Customer-facing communications support. - Crisis communications, labor relations and reputation management. - Industry associations and events, public affairs and community engagement. - Social media support, marketing and promotion for internal and customer events.
You succinctly communicate stories through digital and traditional platforms, craft a communications strategy and execute, develop messaging with strong writing and copy-editing skills, integrate communications seamlessly, expertly manage projects and flex creative problem-solving skills. Requires the ability to work across the organization, collaborate and make real-time decisions using ICARE and ILEAD principles, with extreme attention to detail.
The PSaS Communications team acts as trusted business partners coordinating with internal stakeholders, crafts messaging and supports initiatives that directly impact employee and customer perception.
Key Responsibilities :
Create, drive and execute PSaS communications strategy and story, including planning, writing and execution
Manage internal thought leadership and executive communications for PSaS leaders
Manage content development for large internal events
Develop and oversee a variety of communications material intended for various audiences and channels (presentations, executive emails, speeches, videos, talking points).
Coordinate with various communications needs and projects across the enterprise to ensure alignment and leverage appropriately.
Manage special projects and flex when needed
4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent relevant experience
Required Business Experience-
5-7 years of marketing, communications or related experience
Healthcare experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge/Critical Skills:
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, in storytelling and creating communications materials for both digital and traditional channels
Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced marketing environment, constantly striving for excellence
Ability to forge relationships, problem solve and negotiate solutions among competing interests.
Excellent management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
Experience providing design guidance/recommendations for presentations and other communication materials
Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry
Excellent executive presence and interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills
