The athletics & recreation racquet court attendant position is a part-time position responsible for the daily operation and monitoring of Brownâ™s indoor tennis courts and squash courts. The responsibilities of the attendant include greeting customers, managing and monitoring court reservations, handling court reservation payments and processing, customer communication, and general upkeep and maintenance of the facilities. All candidates must be able to provide great customer service to all guests, including students, staff, faculty, varsity student-athletes, varsity coaches and Brown Community recreation members. Candidates must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and problem solve under pressure while still maintaining great customer service.
All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties.Â Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test and maintain current AED/CPR & First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Athletic Department).
