The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice features a large undergraduate program, a graduate program, a research institute (CJPRI), active engagement with community partners, and ongoing collaborations with units within the College of Urban and Public Affairs and the university.
This Office Specialist 2 position has a key function in the day-to-day operations of the department. This position includes administrative work; record processing and technical work; providing information and assistance to faculty, staff, students and the broader community; assisting with business functions of the department; and performing general receptionist duties.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Successful completion of a background check.
Experience working in higher education, especially PSU.
Working knowledge of Banner, Cognos, Drupal, Google suite.
Demonstrated experience working with confidential information.
Demonstrated experience working in a busy, professional office setting.
Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to self-manage multiple timelines and priorities.
