Business planning, P&L management, business initiative execution: Responsible for the development and execution of annual operating plan (AOP) financial targets. Helps to establish business objectives, strategies, and tactics to attain AOP. Leads cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives. Achieves volume, net revenue, segment profit margin, and marketing mix targets. Owns the financial metrics for one of our trade groups.
Brand Equity Management: Assists the brand team in the management of brand equity development and consumer engagement strategies and tactics to achieve consumer and business objectives. Works with agency partners to create and execute against annual consumer media, promotion and public relations plans.
Innovation: Leads future growth by identifying new product and line extension opportunities by analyzing consumer trends, determining specific market needs and potential, and building a business case. Owns the development of innovation pipelines in tandem with the Sr. Brand Manager.
Cost and Margin Leadership: Supports operations, logistics, forecasting, and purchasing departments to management of finished goods and supply inventories. Leads and manages indirect cross-functional team members to accomplish projects that support brand initiatives and business needs.
Channel Development: Work with our Consumer Products Sales (CPS) team to capitalize on growth potential with specific channels to include e-commerce. Supports CPS customer engagement by participating in customer sales calls to accomplish sales initiatives, developing sales presentations or content, assist addressing customer category/brand opportunities and challenges. Develops trade strategy and national trade budget with National Category Sales Manager counterpart. Monitors marketplace dynamics and implements corrective action when and where necessary.
A Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA is preferred.
