The USC Price Center for Social Innovation is seeking a Public Communications Coordinator to support efforts to advance the reputation, visibility, and prominence of the Price Center for Social Innovation and its related initiatives through a wide range of communications and external relations activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent written communications skills, experience with digital communication platforms, and experience in policy outreach.
Manage the production and distribution of all digital communications, including strategic announcements, event invitations, and the monthly newsletter. Build and coordinate a monthly content calendar across all areas of the Price Centerâs work.
Manage all social media platforms for the Price Center and strategic initiatives including the Homelessness Policy Research Institute and the Neighborhood Data for Social Change platform; grow networks and build opportunities for cross-promotion of strategic content.
Manage the Price Center website, including ongoing updates as well as the regular addition of new research products, events and news.
Support the development and design of written publications, including research reports, policy briefs, fact sheets, position papers, and other translational research documents
Identify opportunities for policy outreach and impact across all areas of the Price Center, with a particular focus on the Homelessness Policy Research Institute. Activities will include: identify and conduct outreach to elected officials, government agency leads, and other key policymakers active within the Price Centerâs strategic research areas; share relevant research reports, data stories and analyses, and expert testimony to inform policymaking at the local, state and federal level; arrange policymaker meetings with the Price Center Director.
Prepare fact-sheets, one pagers, and briefing documents to support the Price Center Director in policy outreach visits to policymakers at the local, state, and federal level.
Track media mentions and policy outreach and impact; generate regular reports on Price Center external relations activity.
