The University of Connecticut is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, paid intern assistant coach position with the Women’s Tennis program. Responsibilities will include: assisting the Head Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I women’s tennis program including the recruitment of prospective student-athletes; time management planning and reporting; student-athlete experience; student-athlete development; game preparation; community service and involvement; social media assistance and planning; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Tennis.
Bachelor’s degree; previous experience as a player or coach at the collegiate tennis level; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Prior experience playing or coaching tennis at the Division I level.
This is an immediate opening. Anticipated start date July 1, 2021.
