Communications & Web Content Coordinator - Casual Hourly

The Communications and Web Content Coordinatorwill be responsible for coordinating, designing, drafting and disseminating information on behalf of the University’s COVID-19 Public Health Response, with a focus on, but not limited to, the Asymptomatic Testing Program and the Covid-19 Vaccine program.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication and Correspondence (75%)
Develop and coordinate the production and dissemination of information for the COVID-19 Public Health Response and related initiatives
Manage and respond to inquires received by the COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing Program and COVID-19 Vaccine program email accounts
Coordinate communications about the Asymptomatic Testing Program and COVID-19 Vaccine program between several campus offices
Develop and implement ideas for written material to be presented in a variety of formats (e.g., flyers, reports, web-based materials, forms, email messages, publications)
Design and participate in design of materials
Edit and proof materials in preparation for publication and distribution
Regularly update content on the Princeton COVID website
Maintain records and archives, as appropriate
Planning and Consultation (20%)
Use evidence-based strategies including social marketing; determine appropriate channels for different populations and create effective messages that are tailored to the intended audience(s)
Ensure consistency of messaging and non-duplication of communication efforts in consultation with Office of Communications, Environmental Health & Safety and University Health Services
Consult with University Health Services (UHS) staff and Campus Partners, as appropriate
Other Administrative Responsibilities, as Assigned (5%)
Participate in other initiatives, projects, and activities as assigned by the, the Director of Health Promotion and Prevention Services, or in partnership with other University Health Services Staff.
Represent University Health Services on campus committees, working groups, meetings, and programs, as needed

Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or related field plus 1-3 years of work experience developing communication materials in health communications, public relations, journalism, student affairs, or social marketing orAssociate’s degree in relevant field plus 3 or more years of relevant work experience
Robust computer skills and advanced working knowledge of web-based technology, social media, graphics, publication and media presentation software (i.e. Adobe Creative suite, Canva, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite), as well as competency with web design and development for mobile devices
Knowledge of inclusive practices in health communication
Superb and diverse writing and editing skills, particularly the ability to write with clarity, accuracy, and brevity; demonstrated skill in translating complex topics into clear, lively, and straightforward prose; keen eye for detail as well as careful attention to tone and quality of writing; ability to convey content in culturally responsive ways to varied audiences
Excellent organizational and stewardship skills, including ability to handle multiple complex projects, a busy schedule, and concurrent deadlines
Understanding of best practices for communicating with particular audiences (e.g., undergraduate students, graduate students, staff and faculty campus partners, communities of shared cultural identities)
Demonstrated ability and strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with individuals and groups with a wide array of backgrounds, identities, life experiences and communication styles
Experienced as a collaborative teammate, who thrives working with and for others as needed to support organizational priorities and opportunities
Track record of success in being flexible and working independently and creatively to identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions
Master’s degree, preferably in public health, health education, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing. Related fields will also be considered.
3 or more years of experience in health-related communication (e.g., college health, public health, community health)
Experience with report writing and design
Experience conducting and utilizing research and interviews to enrich communications
