The Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy and Business Development is responsible for helping shape our eCommerce Strategy/Approach and identify/scope/nurture emerging eCommerce internal and external partnership and business development opportunities, so Constellation Brands remains on the forefront of growth in Beverage Alcohol across Beer, Wine, and Spirits.
The Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy and Business Development will be based out of the Constellation Chicago office but this position allows for a remote work location. This position reports to the Senior Manager, eCommerce Strategy and Business Development and works closely with cross-functional teams within eCommerce and within the organization, including but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Training and Development, Communications, Finance, Legal, and Operations.Â Strong candidates will have excellent analytical, problem structuring and problem solving skills, a natural comfort with ambiguity and bias for speed, agility and action.Â Strong candidates will also have very strong, spoken and written communication with strengths in Excel modeling and PowerPoint.Â Candidate needs to be comfortable being managed/led by Senior Manager who will be in a different city.Â Â
Responsible for assisting Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Development to shape, manage and steward our organizational eCommerce and Omnichannel strategy in partnership with internal eCommerce stakeholders
Coordinate research, identify, analyze, and execute innovation efforts within the eCommerce space - both overseeing analytics to drive rigor and reporting on our pipeline planning as well as assessing go-forward business models to accelerate eCommerce innovation
Assist Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Development to develop well-thought-out business case, presentation, proposals to champion emerging opportunities
Stay up to date and identify emerging business and eCommerce channel and technology opportunities and partnerships for Constellation
Demonstrate curiosity in eCommerce to help continuously drive our teamâs innovation and competitive understanding within the eCommerce space and willingness to test-and-learn
Effectively communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation leveraging different tools
Evangelize and socialize opportunities to key internal stakeholders including but not limited to: presentations, internal communications and business cases
Anticipates needs and trends for supporting the greater eCommerce team members
Participate in seminars and professional meetings to represent the organization and scout new trends and emerging opportunities
Support Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Development Manager to support VP of eCommerce and lead special programs/initiatives, performance reporting and regular team meetings
Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in consumer package goods (CPG) Sales or Marketing (Digital, Shopper, Trade, or Brand Marketing), Management Consulting, Agency, or Supplier
Strong communications skills; articulate, robust writing, speaking and presentation-building skills, strong interpersonal skills, and solid cross functional skills
Professional interest/curiosity to advance in eCommerce
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong teamwork skills; ability to assist with projects and work with interdepartmental functions to achieve project completion in a smooth and timely manner
Motivated self-starter and be able to work without daily guidance
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skillsÂ
Experience in Beer, Wine and/or Spirits industry
Experience and comfort with preparing for and presenting to internal stakeholders
Experience with, and understanding of, 3-tier distribution
Experience in eCommerce and/or Strategy and Business Development
Management Consulting background
