Coordination and oversight of membership services: Oversee the operation of the fitness center. Generate sales/revenue through memberships, locker rentals, towel service, and merchandise sales. Market membership passes. Coordinate locker assignments. Manage equipment check-out, maintenance, inventory, and purchase. Order appropriate sales materials (ie. cards, applications, etc.). Establish relationships with the campus Card Office, Payroll Office, etc. to expand membership service offerings.
Coordination and oversight of the controlled access of athletic/recreational facilities (in/outdoors): Establish a facilities security plan with the University Police. Enforce facilities policies and procedures. Implement and oversee initiatives in regards to facilities risk management. Negotiate and oversee a service contract with a controlled access computer software company and a security system company. Maintain the computer software programs established for our facilities. Train personnel as needed. Serve as "in-house" expert. Responsible for key and lock management.

Personnel supervision: Oversee the Assistant Facilities Manager responsible for weekend supervision of the facilities and event management. Oversee of the Facilities area Administrative Assistant in regards to her role in membership services. Hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, and discipline building supervisor, fitness center, and equipment check-out staff members. Oversee payroll responsibilities for all facilities part-time staff including lifeguards, Athletic Aide assistants, Equipment Room assistants, etc. Oversee the work of Asst. Facilities Managers in regards to their building opening/closing responsibilities. Develop and implement employee policies and procedures. Insure these are within university guidelines.
Public relations: Develop a communication/information system for patrons. Publish a membership newsletter, brochure, policy information, etc. Establish and maintain a webpage with relevant information.
Manages a team responsible for event management, security and controlled access, scheduling, membership services, marketing, facilities services, oversight of equipment maintenance, facilities preparations for the activities within the facilities, equipment room management, and aquatics management.
Develops and implements and enforces facilities and risk management policies and procedures.
Performs other related work as needed.
Experience in facilities management in a college or university athletic setting
First Aid certifications
Current valid driver's license
