This major Pension fund has an allocation of over 4 billion to invest in USD, Euro and GBP credit opportunities across all sectors but with a particular interest in Industrials and Financial Services. Good ideas are welcomed, acted upon and executed so you will be joining a team that wants your input constantly.
Ideally you will have already gained experience in an investing role but candidates with experience in Credit Research or a Debt Banking team will be considered. Regardless of your background, your financial modelling skills have got to be exceptionally strong.
Your role will be to partner with the portfolio managers, providing research and analysis on potential and existing investments for the Fixed Income portfolio(s), to ensure that the pension scheme meets or exceeds its targets for investment returns.
Analysis of investments, under delegated authority of the Head of Fixed Income and direction of senior credit analyst(s)
Ensuring good outcomes for existing client(s).
Analysing, monitoring and reporting on existing and potential portfolio investments.
Identifying and quantifying risks and threats to existing investments.
Identifying and recommending potential investment opportunities.
Fundamental credit research and analysis, forming fundamental based views and translating them into portfolio ideas.
Fixed Income Team
Working closely with other team members.
Supporting the Head of Fixed Income and portfolio managers as required.
Communication in an effective manner with other colleagues as required.
Supporting/managing projects across the private market team and wider organisation Compliance with all relevant FCA rules and regulations
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A relevant qualification and/or relevant degree.
Knowledge and understanding of global fixed income markets, including derivatives.
Experience in analysing credits in one or more of the Industrials, Utilities, Financials, Government and Government related sectors, preferably across currencies.
Excellent analytical/quantitative skills, and written, presentational and communication skills
Experience of working in a busy team in a fast-paced environment
Capable of working with limited supervision, but confident enough to engage and seek help and guidance
Flexible, organised and keen to learn
