Syracuse Abroad (SA) seeks a dynamic, engaging, persuasive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Outreach to lead institutional relationship, recruitment, and new business development for a nationally recognized University education abroad provider. The position will lead a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract students from outside Syracuse University to participate in SA programs. They will be responsible for cultivating strong, trust-based partner relationships and customized programs, as well as strengthening and extending the Syracuse Abroad brand recognition and revenue streams. Working with the Division of Marketing and Communications, this position plays a key role in developing and overseeing SA's marketing, communication, and public relations plans. Under general direction of SA's Assistant Provost/Executive Director, this position works in close collaboration with the Director of Admissions (recruitment/enrollment), Director of Global Operations (business development, revenue generation) and Director of Academic Programs (new and customized program development, academic standards). The incumbent will directly oversee a staff of 4, including the Institutional Relations team (3 staff) & the Communications Manager and will have dotted line supervision over the Assistant Director of World Partner Programs for program development work. This position will be an integral member of the SA leadership team and will engage with SA center directors as well as campus administration/faculty to achieve SA goals and to advance University-wide internationalization outlined in the Academic Strategic Plan.
