Description of Work:
The Director of Recruitment is responsible for the undergraduate recruitment initiatives in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and provides regular recruitment reports to the College. S/he works closely with the UNL Office of Admissions on recruitment initiatives and represents the college at all university recruitment events. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment marketing initiatives, overseeing academic unit recruitment strategies and developing and implementing a data-driven strategic plan to ensure college success. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with personnel at secondary schools, community colleges, four-year institutions, community agencies, faculty, alumni, and others involved in student recruitment. Additionally, the Director will oversee and organize the College's annual Nebraska Young Artist Awards event and will hire, train, manage, and deploy enthusiastic current student ambassadors to assist with recruitment events and facility tours. This position will represent the Hixson-Lied College at Red Letter Days, honors and diversity events, and other recruitment activities across the state or country. Director will assist the college's academic units with scheduling daily campus visits, conducting auditions, portfolio reviews and scholarship awarding for incoming undergraduate students. S/he will develop recruitment strategies for first-generation students and a diverse student body.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, public relations, the arts, or related field plus 2 years experience in recruiting, sales, customer service, admissions, or related field.
Work history will demonstrate public speaking/presentation experience in both small and large forums. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office or other general office software. Candidates must have experience creating strategic plans and data analysis experience.
Must have excellent communication, project management, organizational, and event planning skills. Ability to work with diverse populations. Ability to identify and adapt to changing environments, able to collect, evaluate and analyze data and trends. A high degree of professionalism, solid judgment, and confidentiality is required.
Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
The ideal candidates may have a Master's degree. Experience working in higher education, student information systems, and event planning. Experience supervising staff. Youth branding and marketing experience. Experience with fine and performing arts. Experience in the recruitment of first-generation students and a diverse student body preferred.
Posted Salary: $40,000 minimum
