Summary: The Online Community Specialist will be responsible for all operations and tasks related to the ASTHO online community which serves the organization’s members and serves as intranet for ASTHO staff.
Supports staff administrators of member communities in managing their online communities to encourage use of the platform to their community members.
Implements online community strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effectiveness and alignment.
Collaborates with Public Relations to provide insights gained from community monitoring to assist in communications strategies.
Manages engagement strategies for community users, train employees in the use of the intranet.
Assists in administering and provides support in maintaining the Association Management Software (AMS) system, continuing vendor relationships, and any issues that require immediate resolution.
Supports program staff in the development of project plans, goals, and project-specific processes in relation to the online communities.
Collects, analyzes, and interprets community-related data and shares with relevant stakeholders.
In collaboration with supervisor develops, manages, and enforces policies and procedures related to access, security, and usage.
Monitors, cleans, manages, and configures accounts and sites.
Provides technical support and quality customer service to staff and community users.
Manages add/updating and removing contacts within the AMS.
Assists the in running reports and providing data to staff.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
2 years’ experience working on management systems.
Experience in online communities
Working knowledge of UX practices and user centered design principles a plus.
