We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Design Senior Manager to join our Pursuit Consulting Design team, leading the ideation, execution and production of high-level, creative sales deliverables. In this role, the Design Senior Manager will develop digital, print, presentation, and interactive deliverables in support of national consulting pursuit activities. You'll be joining a team where we conceive, design, and lead the development of high-quality creative work that pushes the Deloitte brand forward to our current and prospective clients!
This position calls for a passionate, collaborative professional with a positive outlook, excellent communication, and expert design skills. The preferred candidate is proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment. You should also excel at leading design strategy and junior designers.
Propose, plan, design, and deliver a full range of high-impact pursuit collateral (both print and digital), including but not limited to proposals, presentations, print collateral, info graphics, wire framing and layout mapping; animation and motion graphics experience a definite and desired plus
Demonstrate a strong grasp of the creative development process, have excellent art direction skills, and consistently deliver excellent design
Provide clear communication and creative direction, and give timely and helpful feedback to improve creative solutions and build a better design team
Blend photography, imagery, charts, text, and multimedia elements to create high-impact materials that distinguishes Deloitte Consulting in the marketplace and help win business
Ensure a creative yet consistent look and feel that adheres to, and supports, the Deloitte brand, visual identity, legal guidelines and messaging
Exercise good judgment and outstanding project management skill to balance priorities and communicate to teams to meet and exceed project deadlines and commitments; keep internal clients informed of projects and progress
Develop long-term design strategies, staying ahead of the curve on new design technologies and how they might be rolled out across our design team
Drive innovation through new workflows, technology, design trends, and research
Exhibit a strong grasp of the creative development process, using excellent art direction skills and delivering consistently excellent design.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or related field experience equivalent preferred
10+ years of related work experience in graphic design, marketing or internal communications, or other design discipline
Advanced strategic thinker who sells ideas to stakeholders
Experience working within corporate identity guidelines
Excellent conceptual, visual, verbal, messaging presentation skills, and problem-solving abilities
Experience leading and/or mentoring a team of designers, art directors and creatives at all experience levels, and developing team talent. Ability to motivate and influence others is as important as the work itself.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe CC suite (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of motion applications, web design, and video production a strong plus
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under high-stakes pressure, especially developing compelling, creative deliverables on tight deadlines
Demonstrated project management and organization skills, and close attention to detail a must
Experience working in a professional services organization a plus
Willing to travel on as-needed basis (pre-Covid 40-60% travel expectation for senior managers)
