The Director of Digital Strategies oversees the planning and execution of all web/digital strategy. This position reports to the associate VP of Strategic Communications.
Leads digital team including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating.
Develops and implements policies and procedures related to web/digital strategies.
Develops and oversees the digital strategies budget.
Works closely with other department managers and members of administration to identify needs and recommend cost-effective digital solutions.
Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; communicating progress; recommending and implementing corrective actions.
Adheres to system-wide guidelines and governance for digital content creation including branding and ADA compliance, quality control and management.
Ensures website is maintained and updated in a timely manner.
Completes annual web audit and content update schedule for all webpages.
Manages emergency posting.
Provides content/editorial consulting and support for content contributors.
Coordinates, communicates, and oversees all college-wide and system-wide web service initiatives.
Oversees and manages college Intranet services for internal communication including ITES, BCTC Connect, SharePoint Team Sites, and weekly announcements.
Oversees creation of landing pages for campaigns and reports landing page data.
Ensures SEO of web content.
Represents the college on the KCTCS Web Services Peer Team.
Engages with System Office Radius Team for implementing BCTC workflows.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Web/Digital Communications or related field) and three years related experience, or equivalent.
Five years of related experience
Demonstrated management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to perform responsibilities with only broad administrative guidance
Commitment to institutional effectiveness, accountability, diversity and integrity
Working knowledge of html, web design, and CMS
