As a member of Baxter’s Global Communications team, you will be a critical part of our enterprise wide digital transformation initiative that is reshaping Baxter for the future. You’ll be a core member of our cross-functional team with the goal to win the hearts and minds of employees through compelling internal and leadership communications. You’ll also help shape and execute our external communications strategy for digital transformation, targeting key stakeholders such as customers and industry partners. An additional facet of this role is supporting executive communications at Baxter’s highest level, driving awareness and understanding of Baxter’s broad strategic trajectory and priorities in support of our Mission to Save and Sustain Lives.
Help develop internal and external communications plans for key milestones and topics within the digital transformation and executive communications.
Work alongside change management team and other stakeholders to understand current gaps in alignment and understanding among employee groups. Help develop communications plans to address gaps.
Work collaboratively with HR, change management teams and other stakeholders to support Baxter leaders and ambassadors as they work to get their teams engaged in the transformation and other key priorities.
Communications Development & Execution
Create integrated messaging to reinforce value of digital transformation and advance other strategic priorities.
Write compelling stories that explain complex or technical topics in ways that employees can understand.
Work with cross-functional team to identify potential use case examples and turn them into engaging communications.
Develop communications materials including monthly videos, emails, intranet articles, Yammer content, leader communication and others. Identify new and innovative ways to engage employee audiences.
Executive communication, including internal blogging, external social media, global meetings, videos, and related communications.
Create integrated messaging to provide updates to key stakeholder groups, including Baxter’s customers, about our ongoing digital transformation efforts. Develop associated materials to support communication with these stakeholder groups.
Develop externally facing materials for baxter.com, social media, press releases and other channels to build Baxter’s credibility in digital and overall profile as a healthcare leader and employer of choice.
Education & Experience
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional team to understand priorities and develop communications plans to align organization to those priorities.
Strong and versatile writing skills for a variety of content types, channels and topics.
Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality work.
Strong project management, time management and organizational skills.
Highly motivated, with ability to make decisions independently.
Flexible and agile, with the ability to quickly change course when need arises.
Experience writing for external channels for customers and industry stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree required in English, marketing, journalism, public relations, advertising, or transferrable area. A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications or public relations. Experience working on significant change communication program desired.
