Communications Manager - Human Resources - (21001391)
The Communications Manager develops and recommends a communications strategy that promotes the goals, values and mission of the school or division. They will develop and oversee high-quality, effective materials and messaging including researching and writing effective communications pieces. Creates design and layouts of publications; develop and implement communications and marketing plans and projects; develops and oversees the design and content for website and social media communications. They will evaluate and report on effectiveness of communications strategies and make decisions on changes or improvements. This individual manages communications budget, hires and trains communications staff including consultants and vendors. Works with university-wide committees and work groups and provides public relations support and planning for school/division.
Bachelor's degree in related area of study and 5-7 years of professional communications experience
Applies knowledge and ensures compliance with University and industry standards for security, privacy, and accessibility
Advanced degree and experience in education or non-profit setting preferred
Experience ensuring compliance of web page content with W3C and Section 508 (ADA) accessibility standards preferred
Ongoing training will be provided to help keep up with current trends and requirements
