Responsible for providing administrative support to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. The Coordinator will provide calendar management to the Department Chair as well as assist undergraduate students and faculty. The Coordinator will also assist with Departmental communications and budget coordination. 1. Coordinate and provide administrative support for the undergraduate program *Work directly with and support the Chair, Associate Chair and Departmental undergraduate committee faculty members regarding the undergraduate program *Assist students in all aspects of undergraduate education *Assist with prospective student visits, arrange meetings of prospective undergraduate students with faculty *Maintain undergraduate student records *Serve as liaison between the students and faculty; assist on all undergraduate course-related issues *Assist in Course Site operations, initiate changes in CIM for catalog modifications for courses and the program and in preparation of semester line schedules *Handle all requests in regard to undergraduates with Banner student system such as overloads, overrides, student records, entering/modifying grades, etc. *Distribute, collect and organize course and student evaluations *Provide support on ABET related issues such as collection of documentation from the faculty and preparation of ABET reports *Handle confidential documents and information
2. Provide administrative and clerical support to the Chemical Engineering Department *Provide assistance to the Chair and Associate Chair including management of their meeting schedules *Take notes during faculty meetings and maintain records of minutes *Act as Receptionist; answer main phone number for Department, receive departmental emails and send out departmental mailings *Process purchase orders, reimbursements, reallocations and payment approvals *Assist other staff members and provide "fill in" support as needed *Assist in University ceremonies as necessary
3. Plan and coordinate communications for the Department in regard to departmental publications, alumni and industrial relations and various committees *Research, write, edit, prepare and proofread editorial contents for various Departmental internal and external communications including reports, newsletters, brochures, stories and web pages for various publications *Develop marketing communications aimed at promoting the Department *Provide general public relations assistance including researching, identifying, developing and maintaining contact lists and databases *Collaborate with Departmental faculty and staff to develop communications materials *Provide content for the Departmental web site *Collaborate with the College Director of Development to coordinate fundraising activities and events for the Department *Provide assistance to the Chair and Associate Chair
4. Directs office activities of Chemical Engineering Department *Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures *Researches and develops resources that create a timely and efficient workflow *Establishes uniform correspondence procedures and style practices *Formulates procedures for management of records *Directs office layout and initiates cost reduction programs *Maintains office equipment and orders supplies

This position is expected to work remotely while the campus remains in a limited capacity due to COVID-19; in the future this position may have the ability to work both from home and on campus as deemed appropriate by their supervisor
Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Three to five years related work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, time management and sound judgment
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
