The communications assistant (a 12-month, full-time position) works closely with the director of strategic communications and marketing to implement a schoolwide strategy for promoting the Country Day brand and sharing the school’s story with internal and external audiences. Above all else, this person must be a thorough, quick, and thoughtful writer.
Assist with the development of print, web, and digital marketing and communications strategies that advance the school’s story and drive engagement with prospective students, current families, and alumni.
Help develop print materials and digital content as well as support major all-school events.
Acclimate to Cincinnati Country Day School; thoroughly know the history, culture, traditions and constituencies of the school; understand the school’s educational philosophy and articulate it.
Although a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to communications, public relations, or marketing with at least two (2) years of experience is preferred, candidates without a bachelor’s degree with at least six (6) years of dedicated and directly applicable experience are also welcomed to apply.
Strong writing skills, with a thorough understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
Experience with videography and photography production and post-production.
Fluency in the strategic use of social media platforms.
Familiarity with website content management and e-newsletter management.
