Manager of Operations and Special Projects- University Relations and Enrollment Management 16625
The Department of University Relations and Enrollment Management is seeking applications for a Manager of Operations and Special Projects. This is a senior position providing complex project management as well as operational, accounting and administrative support to the Vice President of University Relations and Enrollment Management (UREM). Considerable independent judgment, discretion and professionalism are necessary in successfully completing daily responsibilities. Directs day-to-day operational activities for the Vice President's office.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Manage all operational, financial, and administrative activities for the Vice President of University Relations and Enrollment Management.
Manage ownership of special projects as directed by the Vice President and ability to make informed decisions on activities.
Identify operational needs and priorities to make recommendations to the Vice President.
Supervision of Program Coordinator.
Develop and implement effective internal communication infrastructure with UREM leadership team.
Create and implement innovative strategies to maximize operational effectiveness.
Prioritize cross-functional projects and initiatives; ensure action items are executed and deadlines are met.
Assist in planning and implementing key meetings such as Key Communicators/Recruiters, retreats, leadership and All-Team meetings; manage post-meeting communication.
Correspond on behalf of the Vice President to university leadership, campus community, UREM employees and external constituents; attend meetings and calls, as needed, to take notes and document action items.
Represent UREM on committees and user groups across campus and maintain positive relationships.
Draft documents, proposals, communications, etc. for the Vice President.
Develop operating budgets for special projects.
Liaison with UREM budget officer, conduct financial reporting and analysis to effectively advise the vice president on budgetary decisions.
Responsible for administrative tasks related to projects within the Vice President's office.
Manage the calendar and scheduling for the Vice President of UREM.
Bachelor's Degree required in business administration, finance, accounting, public administration, public relations, communications, marketing or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Three (3) years of relevant experience:
Working with a variety of high-level clients.
Planning, developing, executing projects and communication.
Working in a fast-paced, professional work environment.
Strength in effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and managerial skills.
Strong organization skills.
Strength in using technology including online meeting platforms, presentation technology, Microsoft programs.
Ability to create Powerpoint presentations.
Adept at conflict resolution.
Ability to facilitate meetings.
Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Maintain confidentiality on all UREM and University matters.
Ability to build strong relationships with individuals and teams, such as President's staff, campus leadership, Key Communicators and Key Recruiters.
