The Digital Marketing Coordinator position is a term-limited position through June 2022. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Media, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for providing support across the Marketing & Communications department, with a particular focus on email, social media, and digital production support, as well as active participation in UMS’s anti-racism goals. This position is part of a four-person marketing & communications team and works closely with student interns.
DIGITAL SUPPORT [50%]
Help develop and deploy content across UMS’s main social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter); manage Facebook events
Develop content for blog posts
Assist with video production work to support the entire organization, including Development and Education initiatives
Assist in implementation of other new digital initiatives
Maintain archive landing page with updated and relevant content from UMS’s history
Update content on website and assist with large-scale web projects such as on-sales and new feature implementation
Work with digital marketing partners as primary liaison for SEO, implemented through UMS AdWords Campaign/Google Grant
EMAIL & DIRECT MAIL SUPPORT [25%]
Create HTML emails through Prospect2 email platform, including marketing emails, automated pre- and post-show events, and monthly Education and Community Engagement newsletters
Using Tessitura database, create and maintain prospect lists for email campaigns and for digital advertising efforts
Develop tracking through Stream2 to ensure seamless integration across platforms
GENERAL MARKETING SUPPORT [25%]
Liaise with UMS Student Committee and report back on efforts
Coordinate poster distribution with volunteer team, as needed for in-person events
Coordinate ticket donation request fulfillment
Assist Marketing & Media Relations Manager with subscription renewal campaign
Coordinate/oversee data entry on online calendars for upcoming season
Assist with list development, deduping, and database management for print mailings.
Attend weekly marketing department strategy meetings and regular cross-departmental digital strategy meetings
In conjunction with the Director of Digital Media, recruit, train, and supervise intern/work-study positions to support department needs. Provide feedback and mentorship.

1-3 years of related work experience
Knowledge of and experience with Prospect2 and Tessitura digital platforms
Knowledge of and interest in performing arts and artists
Attention to detail
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Able to effectively manage several projects simultaneously and in various stages of development
Technologically savvy with strong computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere)
Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
