We are searching for a Member Services Coordinator who is a team player, detail- and customer service-oriented, technology savvy and will maintain our membership database and support overall membership services and goals. The individual will support the management and growth of the member benefits program portfolio and member communications and ensure exceptional customer service to our members. The position is part-time and has some schedule flexibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Membership Services and Development:
Maintain member data and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the membership database.
Create member renewal materials annually and perform corresponding database updates.
Support the management and growth of the member benefits program portfolio, including discounts and incentives.
Support strategy for member communication and engagement and update email platform mailing lists.
Perform new member outreach and welcome information for all members.
Track and engage retired/retiring members.
Continuously evaluate membership categories and performance.
Develop relationships with membership staff from other school administrator organizations.
Evaluate market trends and make recommendations for increased member engagement opportunities.
Track membership dues payments.
Respond to inquiries from current and prospective members.
Support Communications Manager with NCASA membership webpages and regularly monitor and update the NCASA member portal.
Assist with implementing data-driven strategies to grow membership.
Administrative Duties and Program Support:
Assist with answering the phone, answering the door, greeting and directing visitors, and receiving and distributing shipments and deliveries.
Lead or assist with mailings, event preparation, meeting materials, and perform project-based assignments from senior staff as requested.
Collect and distribute mail.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Support NCASA Executive Director and other senior staff as requested and assigned.
3 - 5 years of experience in membership services, preferably in a non-profit membership organization, or similar work
Association membership software and website experience preferable
Should have experience with the following platforms (or equivalents): Adobe, Microsoft Office, Email and Webinar platforms
Experience in a public school system, especially in online records entry and management, is desired
Associate degree in business, communications, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree desired
Must possess strong computer skills, and experience with association management software and websites is preferred
Must be accurate and attentive to detail
Self-starter, resourceful and comfortable working in a small team environment where both daily interaction and self-sufficiency are essential
Must have excellent communication and public relations abilities
Able to problem-solve in new and difficult situations
Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written), and time management skills
Strong willingness to be a team player
