Job Description

Under the direction of the Head of School, the Admissions Director is charged with comprehensive responsibility for the planning, oversight, and execution of all aspects of the admissions process, including the generation of leads, marketing materials, and admissions events.The Admissions Director is expected to accomplish the overall mission and vision of The Independent School through inspirational and strategic leadership that reflects excellent communication, vision, integrity, impeccable moral character, and commitment to the institutional values.

Essential Responsibilities

• Establish an intentional, formalized admissions plan that is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of The Independent School.
• Develop and execute implementation of all admissions activities and programs.
• Collaborate on marketing and communication, building on The Independent School’s brand recognition.
• Engage the school community and greater Wichita community through social media, and face-to-face networking.
• Maintain applicant lists, files and records.
• Keep records of all real-time interactions with potential students and families
• Work within the school’s database system.
• Attend regular meetings with key school leaders.
• Guide Administration on any school related admission and retention issues.
