The Center for Global Affairs at the School of Professional Studies is seeking an Associate Director to develop the Center's brand and build strong online communities through various social media platforms. Develop and administer social media content designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between potential students and the Global Affairs graduate degrees, certificate programs, open enrollment courses, conferences, and public events. Create and execute direct email campaigns. Collect and review social media and email campaign data to make recommendations to the director and associate dean to increase enrollment and revenue. Analyze the long-term needs of the Center’s social media strategy and recommend changes to the digital marketing plan. Develop reports on emerging social media trends for the director and divisional dean. Manage day-to-day program activities; monitor and evaluate program success and sustainability including quality assurance, customer service, and attrition. Make recommendations for new programming based on industry trends. Ensure program courses are scheduled, faculty appointed and paid, course times and rooms assigned, program information provided to appropriate administrative offices and students Manage special projects conduct planning meetings to determine scope of the project, staff and other resources needed, time tables and desired outcomes. Manage major public events, conferences, hack-a-thons, and training programs. Liaise with the NYU ULT, security agencies within and external to NYU regarding pubic events; convene preparatory meetings with faculty organizers, liaise with SPS Strategic Marketing regarding press and media coverage.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in a related field.
Required Experience: 5+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include planning and implementing programs and events, social media management, and supervising staff.
Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education and social media marketing
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Ability to market programs through social media and work with individuals at all levels. Able to explain social media data in an understandable way. Must be able to work well in a changing environment and practice creative problem solving.
