Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:

The Office of Housing and Residence Life at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington houses over 4500 students in a combination of residence halls, suites, and apartments. It is the mission of the Office of Housing and Residence Life to appropriately challenge residents to develop to their full potential by supporting their educational and personal growth and development. The Housing and Residence Life staff maintain an environment that is conducive to educational excellence by providing academic support, educational opportunities, and challenges for individual residents. Opportunities for students to attain a greater appreciation and understanding of cultural and lifestyle differences and opportunities for leadership and self-governance roles are integral to the on-campus experience.
