Background: Chicago Jewish Day School is a multi-denominational, progressive Jewish day school serving over 237 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade Eight. CJDS provides a standard of excellence in both Judaic and General Studies, through an integrated, multi- sensory curriculum. Position Summary: The Development Coordinator is responsible for key organizational fundraising activities including donor acknowledgment, cultivation, special events, and grant management including research, writing, and reporting. The Coordinator also plays a pivotal role in supporting all fundraising campaigns and appeals. The Development Coordinator is responsible for updating and maintaining a fundraising database to track giving throughout its lifecycle, from solicitation and acknowledgement to stewardship, recognition, and beyond. The Development Coordinator is a member of the Operational Leadership Team and reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work together with members of the development team to meet or exceed annual revenue goals. + Contribute to the creation of an annual fundraising plan and maintain the department calendar. + Manage the donor database, including data entry, report generation, pledge tracking and reminders, and moves management. Ensure accurate record?keeping of contributions. + Implement thank you protocols, including executing timely donor acknowledgement. + Maintain all development files and records. + Coordinate planning for fundraising or stewardship events. + Conduct prospect research.
+ Provide support to grant writing team, including providing data, delivering proposals, and updating standard materials. + Prepare reports and mailing lists as required. + Participate in the creation, planning, and implementation of new and existing projects. + Coordinate Title IIA Funding requests. + Serve as production manager for mail and electronic appeals, social media fundraising, e-newsletters, and donor correspondence. + Model professionalism, hard work, and high ethical standards. + Actively participate in staff meetings. + Perform other duties as assigned. + Protect the organization by keeping information confidential.
