ALUMNI RELATIONS AND FUNDRAISING OFFICER , School of Engineering (SOE)-Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP) , to plan, organize, and implement comprehensive, integrated alumni relations and fund-raising programs. Will report to OEOP's executive director and the SOE's assistant dean for development. Will qualify, cultivate, develop, and solicit a portfolio of individuals capable of making a major gift ($50K - $ M+) to the OEOP; help construct a strategy for and lead the execution of event, fund-raising, and stewardship activities; collaborate on increasing the visibility of OEOP, building connections, and growing relationships with its alumni; build, manage, and collaborate on a portfolio of donors and industry prospects; collaborate on identifying and engaging prospective donors and industry partners, including helping arrange site tours/events, creating/disseminating OEOP-related materials, participating in/orchestrating face-to-face visits and other meetings with prospects/ donors/industry partners; and perform other duties as necessary.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least two years' alumni relations, annual fund, or front-line fund-raising experience in a university/nonprofit setting; excellent organizational, interpersonal, public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills; self-motivation; discretion with confidential information/issues; high-level proficiency with prospect management or other CRM systems, Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel), and cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Drive and Dropbox); and ability to adapt quickly to change, prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently and as a contributing team member. Seek an active learner and listener with a strong interest in the OEOP mission who can communicate effectively with OEOP leadership, faculty, students, alumni, and program staff and build rapport with diverse stakeholder groups to accomplish goals. PREFERRED : MIT experience; record of successful cultivation and solicitation; and experience with marketing/public relations, managing virtual and in-person events, and building industry partnerships. Must be able to work evenings and occasional weekend hours with advance notice and travel regionally and out-of-state (10% of the time).

This is a three-year appointment that may be eligible for renewal, contingent upon available funding.
