Gonzaga University is currently recruiting for two FXD Clinical Placement Coordinators. The clinical placement coordinators are responsible for conducting clinical placement operations and processes to include planning, developing, coordinating and maintaining student clinical placements of the graduate nursing practicum.
One year appointments, renewable annually up to three years in total. Renewal will be contingent upon a positive performance evaluation, and your continued availability and interest. Telecommuting is an option for one of the positions.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field and current State of Washington RN license or eligibility to obtain an unencumbered Washington state RN license
Experience in nursing practice, education or administration.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and types of advanced nursing roles.
Knowledge of basic healthcare organizations, behavioral health and clinic systems.
Excellent computer-based organizational skills.
Excellent public relations skills using proper etiquette both electronic and interpersonally.
Self-starter who is able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple coordinator/healthcare providers at many institutions and clinics.
Able to communicate clearly, professionally and calmly with people expressing frustration.
Able to keep updated records and attend to details despite much change.
Able to create and improve systems for organization of many variables (e.g., maintain accurate and detailed reports and records).
Able to remain flexible and effectively perform job during unexpected situations or changing conditions.
Able to show a high level of dedication by following through with commitment, in a reliable and communicative manner.
Able to manage time to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively (e.g., multi-task) to meet deadlines.
Able to reach out to appropriate sources to get the resources or find information needed to be successful.
