- Leads search meetings with partners to discuss reporting, best practices, and opportunities.
- Develops search engine optimization strategies for Chicago Boothâ™s website.
- Conducts keyword research and competitive analysis to understand opportunities and gaps.
- Creates on-page recommendations across the site (technical and semantic) and off-page recommendations, and implement those recommendations when applicable.
- Recommends and implements technical SEO to lead to better crawling and indexing â“ such as XML Sitemaps, site speed alterations, structured data markup, etc.
- Develops and executes an internal and external linking strategy, including documenting best practices.
- Continually audits Chicago Boothâ™s website to optimize website and uncover opportunities and work with development team to execute recommendations.
- Remains up-to-date on emerging SEO tactics.
- Analyzes SEO campaign performance and user behavior to make recommendations for further optimizations.
- Analyzes competitive data to drive search marketing and continually improve online presence.Â
- Compiles and presents search reports (paid and organic) to partners and marketing department.
- Works with an external paid search agency to ensure execution of global PPC strategies that increases leads and drives traffic.
- Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies while evaluating and altering current strategies.
- Measures and reports performance of all search campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Continually optimizes landing pages to increase conversion rates through A/B testing.
- Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
- Evaluates emerging technologies and provides thought leadership/perspective for adoption.
- Adheres to brand guidelines and completes project according to deadlines.
- Develops one or more of the following marketing functions: marketing communications and advertising, web blogs or other digital marketing, and market research. Reviews and updates marketing infrastructure which may include one or more database systems, the intranet, and external web sites.
- May assist managing relationships with external sales agencies.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Education: - Bachelorâ™s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business or any quantitate or analytical related degree.
Experience: - A minimum three years of search engine optimization, PPC ads managing experience, and experience and interest in search and digital marketing.
- Demonstrated experience using Google Search Console and Google Analytics required, Adobe Analytics.
- Expertise in conducting a search engine optimization (SEO) audit.
- Skillful with conversion rate optimization, online user behavior, A/B & multivariate testing.Â
Technical Skills or Knowledge: - Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript required, Sitecore experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Advanced Excel skills with reporting (Dashboard, Pivot, Vlookup, filters, validations and other useful functions).
- Deep knowledge of SEO best practices including tactics, keyword analysis, title and meta-tag coding, link building, domain issues, page analysis, site redirection, dynamic site indexing, and general troubleshooting.
Preferred Competencies - Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills.
- Understanding of how design and development can impact SEO, and can clearly articulate the importance of SEO functionality.
- Analyze SEO and SEM reports in order to provide insights into campaigns based on the data.
- Think outside of the box and generate new ideas.
- Work independently with little supervision; possess a self-motivated disposition; identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, as well as with students, faculty and corporate contacts in a multitude of communication methods i.e., in person, email, phone.
