ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, LERNET, CAS Learning Resource Network

The Assistant Director (AD) will coordinate and implement educational and outreach programs offered by the Learning Resource Network (LERNet) that expose K-12 students to STEM research and careers and help broaden the participation of under-represented groups in STEM fields. The AD will collaborate with BU faculty and students, K12 teachers, other institutions of higher education, local industries, and non-profits to support LERNets mission. The AD will serve as the lead for major events and be responsible for organizing all logistics; promoting the programs; reviewing applications; and overseeing the successful execution of the events. The AD will also have responsibility for ensuring compliance with criminal background checks for the College of Arts & Sciences and maintaining these records. The successful candidate will have a background in a STEM field with a passion for nurturing the next generation of STEM professionals. This individual should be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment; possesses strong writing and proven fundraising skills; has the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of constituents; and is well-organized and detail-oriented.
