Posting Summary: University Public Relations and Communications is seeking a graphic designer. Under general supervision, this individual designs electronic and printed materials, exhibit elements, and/or illustrations for a variety of university publications, displays, and other media in a timely matter. Position also requires creating electronically designed page layouts; producing camera-ready art; consulting with faculty and staff to identify their graphic needs, including budget and project deadlines; and writing and editing basic copy in the completion of media projects. Must be able to conceptualizes, designs, and produces curriculum, training, and/or promotional materials such as flyers, ads, brochures, logos, office signage, exhibits. (knowledge of layout and design and the ability to manage time and meet deadlines; with an ability to interact with diverse constituencies. Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design, along with the ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment. May coordinate a graphics or photographic library and/or maintain digital records. Must be able to communicate effectively with printing industry vendors. May coordinate and lead the work of others, and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Please provide graphic design and or layout samples of work.
