Position Function: The primary function of the Assistant Golf Professional is to assist the Head Golf Professional in the overall operation of the MSU Golf Course and Golf Academy. Salary Grade: 13 Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Anticipated Appointment Date: February 1, 2021 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manage and maintain daily play operations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Professional Golf Management, Recreation Administration, Physical Education or a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of a Professional Golf Management Program. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Working Conditions and Physical Effort 1. Occasional and / or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable.
