Senior Associate Director

Job Duties: Provides coordination and leadership to all recruitment activities including freshman, transfer, and diverse student populations. Also coordinates recruitment activities occurring beyond the Office of Undergraduate Admissions among the colleges, schools, units at East Carolina University and the East Carolina University Alumni Association, and community organizations. Directly supervises and evaluates professional staff including the two Associate Directors, two Assistant Directors, administrative support personnel, student employees and student volunteers. Directs the planning, execution and assessment of the department's strategic recruitment efforts, diverse recruitment initiatives, and University Open House Programs and other visitation programs for targeted population segments. Coordinates annual updates to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions handbook among all divisions of the unit. Engages campus and off-campus units in tracking and supporting pre-college program initiatives. Ensures annual assessment of territory management program to include performance evaluations relative to the admissions funnel data represented within designated territories and in strategically identified high schools, community colleges, counties, and regions. Directs the holistic review process for the review of deferred freshman and transfer applicants. Coordinates the process related to fee waiver requests. Represents the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at university meetings and committees, where appropriate. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions. Full time or Part time: Full Time Position Location (city): Greenville Position Number: 944602 Organizational Unit Overview: The Undergraduate Admissions Office is responsible for identifying, attracting, recruiting, and enrolling students in sufficient numbers to meet the University's enrollment projections while improving the academic profile of the incoming student population. The office annually processes approximately 36,000 applications for admission. These include freshmen, transfer, readmit, visitor, non-degree, pre-college, and auditor students. In order to generate and process applications from these prospective students, the office is involved in many public relations, marketing, customer service, and other outreach activities to cultivate inquiries for additional information about ECU/application materials. These inquiries are received via mail, phone, email, and third party search sources and currently exceed well over 100,000 in quantity for one calendar year.
