Assistant Director, Volunteer Giving Initiatives

Cornell University, a nationally ranked Ivy League institution, is looking for an Associate Director, Volunteer Giving Initiatives to join the Alumni Affairs & Development division.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree, with 3 or more years' experience in Development, Alumni Affairs, Public Affairs, Marketing, or Public Relations. Very detail-oriented, highly motivated. Shows initiative, good judgment, has a love of working with volunteers. Strategic thinking, ability to multi-task Experience with annual fund campaigns, or short-cycle campaign fundraising required. Knowledge of the principles and practices which underlie individual giving. Strong leadership skills, an effective communicator, with a demonstrated ability to work well with, lead, and train volunteers and staff. Ability to effectively represent the University and to work effectively in a team environment with a mix of alumni and program partners. Ability to use database systems and analyze data to manage work is essential. Travel is required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with PeopleSoft and OBIEE. Knowledge of Cornell preferred.
