In support of our client, a state government entity, ResourceTek is searching for a strategic and visionary Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Program Development Manager. The UAS Program Development Manager will be the main point of contact for all UAS Operations in a large multi-discipline organization with a focus on advancing the existing UAS Program to a new level. This is a long-term, multi-year contract position located in the Atlanta Georgia area.  The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Three to Five years of experience in:

• Represent an organization in the UAS field by developing a support network and advancing this technology through innovation
• Demonstrated leadership in developing a growing UAS Program
• Ability to develop and deliver education and training for pilots/visual observers
• Ability to understand and interpreter complex regulations and develop standards and procedures to maintain compliance
• Managing databases, developing /analyzing reports and delivering results to management
• Provide internal and external presentations to a large organization and to the UAS industry

Additional responsibilities include:

• Maintains a records management system to monitor UAS Pilot/Visual Observer flight and training
• Investigates unsafe or dangerous acts committed during the operation of an UAS and reports to the FAA on any serious injury to person/property
• Investigates and approves all acquisition functions of UAS equipment and software
• Coordinates with internal offices related to public relations and communications, Employee Relations, and Safety when necessary
• Provides the FAA with any required data, information, or documentation on UAS pilots or equipment.
• Insight into the emerging Urban Air Mobility markets

Requirements: Undergraduate degree in a technical field related to the UAS industry. 3-5 years of experience in the UAS industry. An FAA Part 107 Pilot Certificate.
