Master's degree in higher education, leadership, management, or other relevant disciplines; 10 years of related experience; demonstrated skill working in a fast-paced working environment, with numerous constituencies, while maintaining focus, clarity, and strategic mindset to secure progress toward goals; demonstrated experience motivating teams to success, managing conflict, and embracing and modeling high integrity, honesty, and collaboration in work style; demonstrated progressive success managing internal and external relationships and including program resources; interpersonal style and demonstrated communication skills to build coalitions and secure opportunities that benefit the College through funding and institutional partnerships; demonstrate familiarity with local, regional, and statewide leaders in business and government and possess knowledge of the community, policy needs, and legislative engagement tactics and communication skills to position the President and to advance the College; ability to manage long-range, high-stakes, and complex projects to successful completion; broad knowledge of academic and student affairs administration, as well as higher education regulatory, policy, accreditation, and compliance issues; tested skills maintaining confidentiality, discretion, and diplomatic engagement; strong interpersonal skills; data-driven decision maker with proven analytical and problem-solving skills; exemplary organizational skills; evidence of sound judgment and ability to make critical decisions in consultation with others as well as independently; ability to balance competing priorities.
Earned doctorate; experience working in a fast-paced environment; fluency with or ability to learn all required technology systems. About the Opportunity:
The Office of the President at Keene State College invites applications for a Chief of Staff. Reporting to the President and as a member of the Cabinet, the successful candidate will be a colleague of vision, energy, and integrity providing advice, counsel, and support to the President on matters of significance. The Chief of Staff will support the President to advance strategic action, government relations, institutional change processes, planning, problem resolution, and communications. Additionally, they will support the President in building and sustaining, positive relationships between a variety of internal and external audiences (local, county, state, and federal elected officials and their staff teams). These relationships will raise the College’s profile and recognition as well as develop opportunities for partnerships that benefit the college and our students.
