The Harvard Law School Communications Office is looking for a Writer who will serve as a member of the HLS editorial team and a key contributor to School and University news and information channels, including Harvard Law Today and the Harvard Law Bulletin. Working with faculty members, staff and students, the Writer will produce content for multiple media platforms highlighting the breadth and depth of HLS research, teaching, learning and public service. The Writer will also support other internal and external communications needs, including the development of website content, press releases and talking points. Finally, they will assist with media relations, as needed.
As a Writer, you will:
Develop, write and edit a range of content, including news and feature articles, press releases, web content, talking points, FAQs and other internal communications.
Serve as a contributor to the Communications Office editorial team, helping support and execute an editorial strategy designed to showcase the excellence and impact of Harvard Law School, its research, programs and initiatives, and the expertise and accomplishments of HLS affiliates across multiple platforms.
Assist with proactive and reactive media relations, establishing and maintaining relationships with key journalists, and helping respond to incoming media inquiries and requests for faculty experts.
Assist with the production of News@Law.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.

Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Knowledge of communications, digital media strategy and tactics, the law, legal affairs and/or legal education.
