The Multimedia Production Specialist II, under general supervision, designs and creates marketing and communication assets; including, but not limited to: text, audio, pictures, graphics, video-clips, virtual reality and digital animation for use in broadcast, web, and promotional materials/campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports development and production of marketing and communication projects and makes technical recommendations. Sets up and operates digital cameras, lighting units, microphones, and other equipment for field production. Performs video post-production tasks including logging footage, creating rough cuts, closed captioning, and revised and final versions of video clips.
Produces, records, directs, publishes, and edits promotional, commercial, and news videos and audio assets.
Assists with graphic design projects and the development of promotional materials for institutional activities, conferences, programs, etc.
Prioritizes, organizes, and schedules work assignments and projects.Â Maintains equipment inventory and performs routine maintenance as needed.
Adheres to University image identity standards. Researches and recommends new multimedia software.
Coordinates virtual events hosted by institutional stakeholders through PlatformQ.
Evaluates products and services for quality standards.

Education â“ Bachelorâ™s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
Experience â“ Four years of related experience.
Knowledge of â“ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of planning and executing marketing plans with regards to multimedia preferred.
Ability to â“ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to conceptually understand instructional needs and translate them in multimedia designs. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements â“ Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
