Brown University seeks an accomplished scholar who studies organizations (broadly defined) to join the Department of Sociology and provide leadership as Department Chair. The faculty member will hold the CV Starr Professorship. The position start date is negotiable.

A successful candidate must be a sociologist at the advanced associate- or full-professor level with an outstanding record of scholarly achievement, an active research agenda, a proven record of academic leadership, excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work contributes to the larger discipline of sociology.
