The Leave Absence Administrator will be responsible for:
Providing timely responses to inquiries from the MA Department of Family and Medical Leave related to wages, job descriptions, leave history, current Hospital leave policies, etc.
Providing timely responses to MA Paid Family and Medical Leave questions from employees, managers, and others within the Hospital.
Working with MA Department of Family and Medical Leave, other Hospital vendors, and Sr. Leave Administrator to develop and present internal communications related to leave absence management.
Keeping current with MAPFML statute and regulations as well as Hospital policies related to MAPFML.
Entering appropriate pay codes and leave information into the Hospital's time keeping system based on MAPFML, disability and leave approvals.
Monitoring and providing timely reporting and analysis of leave activity.
As needed, providing support to Sr. Leave Administrator regarding Worker's Compensation claims.
Participating in trainings (virtual and/or in person) as needed.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of Leave Administration or Benefits experience. Additional HR experience a plus, but not required.
Working knowledge and application of state and federal leave laws and regulations including MAPFML, FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and FLSA.
Working knowledge of HRIS and time keeping software programs, preferably PeopleSoft and/or Kronos.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to maintain comprehensive and cohesive records.
Basic knowledge of MS Office (including Word and Excel).
