The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications seeks an assistant professor to join our award-winning advertising and public relations program starting in August 2021. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in advertising, journalism, communication or a related field; professional experience in advertising, public relations, sports promotion, marketing, or a related field; and demonstrated teaching ability at the college level. We are particularly interested in a candidate who has an active and contemporary research agenda with evidence of or potential for external funding.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in advertising, journalism, communication or a related field.
Preferred qualifications include professional experience in advertising, public relations, sports promotion, marketing, or a related field; evidence of successful college level teaching experience; evidence of published scholarly work in relevant peer-reviewed journals; a record of external support for research and/or creative work; and evidence of strong leadership and service contributions to an academic program.
