We welcome candidates to teach online in our growing adult learner degree programs in
Communication Arts, Journalism, and Media Studies. Available courses include the following:
• Visual Storytelling
• Media & Society
• Public Speaking
• Public Relations & Advertising
• Media Criticism
This is a remote position; candidates are not expected to be in residence to teach these online
courses, although voluntary opportunities to teach on campus may be available.
The ideal candidate will have:
§ a master’s or doctorate degree in the relevant field (doctorate preferred);
§ a passion for teaching and mentoring students;
§ a demonstrated mature Christian faith and strong commitment to the Christian mission of
§ a value for diversity and inclusion;
§ experience teaching in higher education with preference given to those who have taught
in the online environment using Canvas;
§ and a spirit of collegiality.
Interested applicants must submit a Curriculum Vita that includes the names of three references
and a letter of application addressing their fit with the Christian mission of Gordon College and
the position listed above.
