The Superintendent reports to the General Manager (GM)/ Board of directors, and as Director of Facilities and Operations ("DFO") for the Golf Course and related facilities, works with the GM/ Board of Directors to create and maintain the highest levels of quality for the course. The duties of the Superintendent shall include, but are not limited to the following:
Course Maintenance and Development: Control and direct the maintenance, care and improvement of the golf course facilities, including maintenance facility, irrigation system, and all related machinery and equipment. Apply, inventory, and maintain all pesticides in accordance with management practices. Maintain the golf course, including fairways, roughs, greens and grounds in a manner consistent with the budget. Research and implement as appropriate and consistent with the established budget, state-of-the-art practices and treatments for course upkeep. Perform and record chemical sprays in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Equipment Maintenance and Acquisition: Recommend, supervise and perform the purchase, lease, installation and maintenance of golf course equipment and improvements including, but not limited to, cart paths (excluding cars), tee markers, waste receptacles, flags, signs, toilets, water formations, shelters and the like. Develop, implement, and review on an annual basis, policies and procedures affecting the orderly maintenance of the facilities and equipment.
Financial Management: In conjunction with the Board of directors, prepare the annual budget for golf course operations and capital improvements for Board review. Ensure that proposed acquisitions, policies, and practices are consistent with all applicable laws, regulations (federal, state, and local), and fiscally prudent course management. Prepare a long-range plan for improvements to the facilities and projections for financial and membership needs and coordinate the implementation of the plan.
Course Management and Utilization: Coordinate tournaments and related activities with the GM, Golf Shop Manager, and Tournament Committee. Enforce the rules and regulations at the golf facility as they presently exist or as they may hereafter be modified or amended and develop a policy of reporting such violations by golfers, members, and guests. Work with and attend management meetings of the Greens Committee, in determining policy and scope of activities. Implement policies established by the Board, the Greens Committee and the GM.
Staffing and Development: Recruit, interview, hire, supervise, and train employees in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Coordinate the hiring of any independent outside contractor retained by the golf facility related to the operations of the golf course and related facilities. Attend and participate in appropriate professional, meetings at the local, state, and national levels.
Communications and Public Relations: Coordinate day-to-day business operations with other Managers as appropriate. Be responsive and courteous to members and guests at all times. In conjunction with the GM, investigate and respond to member and guest suggestions and critique. Attend Board meetings and prepare reports as may be requested by the Board or the General Manager.
Perform such other duties as are customarily performed by the Superintendent.

Foxcliff Golf Club in Martinsville Indiana. We are looking for a full time Superintendent. Start time could be anytime, but at least by November.
